The Charity Ball is back, and this year it is for young people in Surrey

The Province’s Charity Ball returns on Saturday 24 October 2026 at Wotton House Hotel and Country Estate, Dorking. It is a black-tie evening in a Grade II* listed country house set in 13 acres of the Surrey Hills, and it is the grandest night in the Mark year.
This year the Ball has a theme: supporting young people in Surrey. All proceeds from the evening will go to three charities working with young people across the county.
- Cherry Trees, which gives children with learning, physical and sensory impairments, and their families, a real break from round-the-clock care.
- Surrey Young Carers, the young carers service of Action for Carers Surrey, supporting people under 18 who look after a family member.
- Surrey Army Cadets, whose 575 cadets and 170 volunteers build confidence and teamwork through camps, expeditions and community work.
The evening
Arrival is at 6:30pm for a drinks reception, with dinner at 7pm. Tickets are £89 per person and include the reception, a three-course dinner with wine, live entertainment and dancing until carriages at midnight. A charity raffle and auction run through the evening.
Dress is black tie, and a lounge suit is welcome. Rooms are available at the hotel for anyone staying over, with the leisure centre and spa included.
Everyone is welcome
This is an evening for members, partners, families, friends and guests. You do not have to be a Mark Master Mason, or a Freemason of any kind, to come. It is the sociable side of the Mark in Surrey at its best.
